Inhalation Aromatherapy using Theromatic Inhalers

Inhalation aromatherapy is the ideal way to get the benefits of the volatile essential oils and aromatics in a safe and effective way. By inhaling a concentrated blend through the nose the volatiles are reaching the limbic system directly as well as via inhalation into the lungs.  Wendy has been researching and writing about aromatherapy since 1994, after studying it in 1991 and incorporating into her nursing practice. The most recent was a scoping research project of 250 studies which identifed that inhalation was the most popular method used in clinical aromatherapy. The main reasons were anxiety, stress, sleep issues, post operative nausea and vomiting and pain relief.  Maddocks, W (2022) Aromatherapy in Nursing and Midwifery Practice: A Scoping Review of Published Studies Since 2005,  Journal of Holistic Nursing 01 Jan 2022 View here: UC Research Repository

These aromatic blends have been carefully crafted based on years on research and a deep knowledge of both the therapeutic benefits of the individual oisl, as well as being able to blend in an aesthetically pleasing way. Each aromatic inhaler is made fresh for you at time of order from a carefully blended stock creation, made in small batches for optimal potency.

How to use

  • Keep the inhaler cap on tight when not in use to minimise evaporation
  • Store away from direct heat, flame
  • Do not insert the inhaler into the body - it is for inhalation only
  • Unscrew the lid and remove, hold the inhaler 1-2cm from your nostril and take a deep breath in through the nose, hold for a moment and breathe out through the mouth - repeat 2-3 times then replace the cap. Repeat as necessary.
  • Discontinue use if you experience any unpleasant effects or are allergic to any ingredients

The inhalers are supplied in either the coloured plastic inhalers which are sealed or the reusable wooden inhaler. See below for more information on the benefits of each.

What is inside your box?

Packaging is simple to keep costs down, all inhalers are packed in a small box.

A special compressed fabtric wick is inserted in the tube which has been impregnated with a blend of bespoke aromatics carefully designed for optimal effect. The coloured plastic inhalers are sealed and are not designed to be reusuable. They are sturdy, the aroma stays intact for several months (tested up to four months and put through a accidental wash). You could potentially add more essential oils through the hole in the top but this is not recommended as adding essential oils directly to the plastic will damage it.

Colour Code: Red- emotional Trauma, Light Green Anxiety Anxiety, Purple -Relaxation, sleeping, Dark green-Respiratory Support, Brown- grounding, Yellow Uplifting, stimulating

An alternative wooden inhaler can also be used. These are considered eco friendly, can be opened and refilled or the wick changed. However, the downside of them is the wood absorbs the aromatics, and may reduce their effectiveness over time, this also could affect different blends that are added. They are also more expensive
